Edward & Beth Ann Collins

A Story of Love, Service, Innovation, and a Mission to Transform Commerce Into Compassion.

A Love That Came After Loss

Edward Collins and Beth Ann Collins’ story begins not with business, but with resilience. Before finding one another, both had already lived full, devoted lives alongside their late spouses. Together, they had shared more than seventy years of marriage with partners they deeply loved. Losing them was heartbreaking—but it also shaped them.

When Edward and Beth eventually met, it was not by accident; it was providence. Each recognized in the other a rare combination of strength, empathy, and purpose. Their bond formed not out of convenience or circumstance, but from a shared conviction: life is meant to be lived in service to others. Their marriage became more than companionship—it became a partnership with a mission.

Strength With Compassion

Beth Ann Collins

Beth Ann’s life has always centered on protecting and caring for people. As a former police officer, she served her community with courage, integrity, and discipline. Her time in law enforcement instilled in her a deep understanding of people in crisis and the importance of advocacy for those who cannot always advocate for themselves.

After her career in policing, Beth’s calling expanded to include caring for children and adults with special needs. Over the years, she has fostered and cared for more than 60 children with special needs, providing them with stability, love, and dignity. This extraordinary commitment reflects a rare kind of servant leadership—one that operates quietly, consistently, and selflessly.

Her passion is deeply rooted in her role as mother to her son Chase, who has Down syndrome. Raising Chase has shaped her worldview, strengthened her compassion, and sharpened her determination to create systems that support families like hers. For Beth, advocacy is not a cause—it is daily life.
From Firehouse to National Enterprise

Edward Collins

Edward Collins’ early life was also defined by public service. As a Battalion Chief in the fire department, he led teams through emergencies where seconds mattered, and decisions carried life-and-death consequences. That experience forged his leadership style: decisive, calm under pressure, and mission-focused.

While still serving as a firefighter, Edward quietly launched a side venture that would eventually become a national success story. With just ten mattresses stored in his garage, he founded Burlington Mattress Company. What began as a modest entrepreneurial experiment grew—through discipline, strategy, and relentless work ethic—into a national mattress retail chain.

Nearly ten years ago, Edward exited the company through a buyout by a top global mattress manufacturer, marking a milestone achievement. But for him, the exit wasn’t an ending—it was a beginning. Financial success gave him the freedom to pursue something he had always intended to do: give back at scale.

A Shared Mission Is Born

Turning Commerce Into Compassion

“If we’ve been blessed, how do we multiply that blessing for others?”

When Edward and Beth Ann built their life together, they realized they shared this same question. They wanted to create something that would allow everyday people—not just wealthy donors—to make a difference. That vision became 321 Give.

321 Give is an online shopping platform founded on a powerful principle: every purchase can create impact. Initially focused on furniture and mattresses, the platform is expanding into multiple retail categories while maintaining competitive pricing on major brands. Its defining feature is its philanthropic engine:

  • 25% of profits are donated.
  • 20% goes to a charity chosen by the shopper.
  • 5% supports Special Olympics.
Today, users can choose from more than 1.3 million charities nationwide. This is not charity after business. It is charity built into business.
